History

Stellar Winery is one of South Africa's largest producers of fine organic wines, the grapes are drawn from vineyards straddling the northern boundary of the Olifant's River wine region and Namaqualand. This is an area famous for its spring flowers and is also the only semi-arid Biosphere hotspot in the world.

Regional Information

Situated in the Namaqualand hamlet of Trawal, Stellar Winery is privately owned, with the workers having a 26% shareholding in the cellar.
